After two weeks of thorough research on YTB, my husband and I finally decided to sign up. Our first thought.... This is going to be so easy to sell. We thought that everyone we knew (our warm market) was going to sign up, for sure. Who doesn't want to travel? Who doesn't want to stop working full time and stop trading dollars for hours, promoting a company that belongs to someone else. It made sense to us. Unfortunately, after a few months of hotel meetings, house parties, lots of phone calls harassing my family and friends, I didn't have the outcome I was hoping for, I felt exhausted and like a failure. Where did I go wrong!! I'll share that answer to you a little later. I can tell you that 9 out of the 10 people we spoke to wanted to wait and see how we do first. Does this sound familiar? Now don't get me wrong, some people do extremely well person to person, I have friends that have already received the $10,000 bonus. One of which, has only been involved with Ytb for three months.

One night after dinner, my husband was on the internet and came across a couple of articles on attractive marketing. We were both impressed with what we were reading. We thought, maybe we should give this a try, we had nothing to loose and everything to gain. It would be a lot easier to work on the computer for an hour or two a day, rather than take my kids with me to meet potential prospects. I knew that there had to be people who would be interested in this business, what I didn't know was where to find them. You can only do so much when you're a mother of four children, two of which are home with me all day. We have home cooked meals every night and I try not to miss out on any sport, school, or church events. This pretty much limits a lot of my time. I was so interested in how I could get people to join my business without even speaking to them through attractive marketing, I wanted to be the hunted, instead of the hunter.

Attractive marketing consists of setting up what I have named a knowledge circle on the web. You need to brand yourself as a knowledgeable leader. To do this you would need to ,obviously, know a lot about the company you are promoting. Basically, you need to write some articles on different informational topics, keep a blog, create a landing page (website), join some forums and once everything is all set up, it will make one big circle. If someone only reads one of your articles, you will have links referring them to all the other articles websites and so on... If you provide truthful information regarding the company and answer questions to new prospects, they will become to trust you. So what team do you want to join, the team that the can't answer any of your questions or the team that has all the answers? The answer to question in the first paragraph, what am I doing wrong: you are targeting people who have no interest in joining YTB. The internet provides a huge audience of potential clients. Some who have already heard of Ytb and are researching it, and some who have never heard of it, but the information you have provided got them interested and they join.

The first thing I did was I starting going to all the affiliate marketing web-sites my competition used and recommended. Now, I really got turned off by this. Most of them required spending money, which I didn't like, and it really confused me. Some of them really ticked me off! You spend so much money to get internet marketing info and to learn how to do it and then once you buy in, they want you to buy an upgrade for more money to get more info and sometimes none of your questions on how to get prospects are answered. Finally, I became really perturbed, so I went into a forum on internet marketing and started asking around if these affiliate programs were necessary to learn. Most of my answers consisted of a NO, which was a relief. Now, I do use a few affiliate programs but, I only ordered the basic packages and utilized to 30 day boot camp emails. My next stop to learn more was Amazon, I looked up books on how to promote internet marketing. I ordered 101 Ways to Promote Your Website, I give this book, written by Susan Sweeney 5 stars!!!

It was GREAT! I had to read some of the chapters 5 or 6 times before I really understood it, but without this book, I wouldn't even be writing this article.

All the information I read about attractive marketing seemed pretty simple. First, set up a web-site (landing page), write some articles, start a blog, join traffic programs, and visit forums. Well I tried to contact a few people regarding attractive marketing because I had some questions. I wanted to know how they got started? Was affiliate programs something I really needed? Would I need to spend a lot of money? How long will it take? How will Google index my articles? Where do I even start??? Unfortunately the people I contacted couldn't help me, I was told to go to my up-line. Well, my up-line was so successful with hotel meetings, one on ones, and the house parties, that they didn‘t use the internet. So I decided to try it alone. I am not by any means a computer nerd. I have NEVER done anything like this, I was basically a computer virgin. I had no clue what these words were; meta tag, html, java, surfing, indexing, SEO, rankings. I had no clue how to even create a link. Thanks to my 15 year old niece who is a my space genious helped my out a little bit.

Once I did a lot of reading and researching, I started with my website. My website was designed with a few things in mind. I wanted it to be a landing page for potential clients. I also wanted it to be full of detailed and valuable information. Next, I started to work on a website name and an actual website. It is always good to have a website on the internet to refer prospects to if they want more info. Basically, this is a landing page, to get more information from potential prospects. Once you know that they are interested, you can contact them. This works just like the affiliate marketing programs, they provide you with your own landing page through the affiliate program and when a prospect clicks on the affiliate banner or web address, you now have a prospect.

Here's a few good tips:

First of all I spent $50 on a web-site for one year, which is fine and I love the fact that I have 5 pages of information on it for my prospects and I got one free email account,but My Space is free. If money is a factor in your scenario, my space is basically the same thing as a website except its only limited to one page and best of all its free!!!! Check out my my space profile link below.

Don't start writing articles until you have a landing page for your prospects to go to. Another words, get your website set up or my space account before you go crazy writing articles, because you definitely want to be able to refer them to some type of home page for you company.

Try to learn a little bit about html codes. At first I was like yeah right, but after about a week or so I know a ton of them by heart!!!

Once I got my website up and running, I began to write articles. I started a blog and I joined a few different traffic sites to help get traffic to my website and my articles. Google ranks higher to a site that has a lot of traffic, so traffic sites are a must! I joined two traffic sites so far and both were free!!

Lastly, don't get discouraged on different tactics that you have no clue about. This is a learning process everyday. There are days that I post a couple of questions in forums and can't go on until I get an answer, but when I do get that answer I'm good to go.

In conclusion, if you decide Ytb is for you and would like to join our team, you have a huge advantage, because any time you need help you can come to us. If I had only had someone to guide me through this attractive marketing, it would have been a lot easier to pick up the phone and call someone and ask, rather than try to figure it out myself.
